Danville boys' basketball secures two wins
The Blue Devils dominate Loudonville and Ridgewood in back-to-back victories this week.
The Danville boys’ basketball team won a pair of games this week.
Danville jumped on Loudonville early and often, cruising to a 75-19 victory on Jan. 30.
The Blue Devils led 25-7 after one quarter and 46-13 at half en route to the win.
Ashton Spaulding erupted for 29 points, including hitting five 3-pointers, to lead the Devils. Carson Proper added 13 points, while Aidan Mickley had nine, Wesley Payne seven, Brycen Burke six and Damien Smith five.
The Devils found their stride in the second quarter in a 67-52 victory over Ridgewood on Jan. 31.
Danville trailed 10-8 after one quarter but scored 27 in the second quarter and 21 in the third and cruised home with the win.
The Devils had a balanced approach as nine players scored in the victory. Parker Proper led the Devils with 19 points. Payne added 12, while Mickley had 10. Spaulding checked in with seven, Owen Gronberg had six, Carson Proper and Burke had four each, Smith three and Briggs Wallace two.
