Dancing Bee Market & Studio hosts free holiday gift-making workshops

Dancing Bee Market & Studio is kicking off the holiday season with warm, community centered workshops, filled with creativity, handmade gifts, and festive fun. This year, the shop is hosting two completely free drop in workshops to help families connect, create gifts, and enjoy meaningful experiences without added financial stress.

“We know the holidays can feel overwhelming for many families,” said Jami, owner of Dancing Bee Market & Studio, located at 3 N. Main St., Mount Vernon. “We wanted to offer a space where people can slow down, make something special, and enjoy that feeling of togetherness. It’s our way of saying thank you and giving something back to the community that supports us all year long.”

The free holiday workshops include:

•Small Business Saturday, Nov. 29, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Handmade Gift Wrap Station Celebrate Small Business Saturday with a fun, festive drop in activity for all ages. Stop by our classroom to design your own eco-friendly wrapping paper, tags, and gift bags. Warm up with a free hot cocoa bar, enjoy the bustle of downtown, and snap a photo in front of our Wing Wall. •Saturday, Dec. 13, 1-3 p.m.: Heated Neck Wrap Workshop A cozy, comforting gift that’s fun and simple to make. Choose your favorite scents and fabrics while we handle the prep work to make this activity suitable for both kids and adults. Drop in anytime and leave with a thoughtful handmade present.

In addition to our free workshops, we’re offering even more creative events throughout the season. These paid workshops support local artists and makers while giving the community a chance to learn new skills and craft unique handmade gifts.

Upcoming holiday workshops include:

• Saturday, Nov. 22, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Bath Bomb Ornaments – A drop in activity where guests can create seasonal bath bomb ornaments, perfect for gifting.

 • Saturday, Dec. 6, 5-8 p.m.: Jane Austen Celebration – A candlelit shopping experience honoring Jane Austen’s 250th birthday, complete with themed soaps, treats, warm wassail, and a commemorative ornament craft.

 • Saturday, Dec. 20, 2-4 p.m.: Macrame Gnome Workshop – Learn the basics of macrame with Paige and make an adorable last minute decoration or gift.
