Clinton Township water board approves fee reduction
Mount Vernon residents to see 25% reduction in sewer charges following board approval.
The Board of Clinton Township Water and Sewer District has approved a 25% reduction to the district’s portion of the sewer fee. The Clinton Township Water and Sewer District portion of the fee has been $20.14 per each equivalent family single unit so the 25% reduction of the fee will amount to approximately $5 for the average customer. The Board is committed to keeping the District costs as low as possible and is pleased to take this step in an era of constantly increasing prices for everything.
This resolution was approved at the December meeting (Two board members voting for and one board member voting against) and is being presented to the city of Mount Vernon since they are responsible for all billing.
