Trojans earn early wins in boys bowling while girls gain experience against league foes

The Centerburg boys’ bowling team has started the season
with two wins in its first three matches.
The Trojans opened the season with a close victory over
Fredericktown (1,670-1,634). Michael Wallace had a 357 series to lead the
Trojans (136-221), while Shawn Carter shot 347 (183-164).

Centerburg then fell to league-leading Mount Gilead
(2,193-2,134). Wallace tossed a 433 (192-241) and Luke Pack shot 379 (165-214).
The Trojans bounced back on Dec. 10 by dismantling
Cardington (1,646-1,498). Wallace shot 376 (199-177) to lead Centerburg.
The girls’ team has dropped three matches this season –
Fredericktown. Mount Gilead and Cardington.
Azala Compton is lead the Trojans with a 115.50 average and
has a high game of 158. Lynn Moody had a high game of 144.
