The Kokosing Valley Arts Alliance, in partnership with the Knox County Convention & Visitors Bureau, announce Art at the Park, a vibrant community art competition and exhibition set to take place at the historic CA&C Visitor Center.

Designed to celebrate local creativity, Art at the Park invites artists of all skill levels (and ages) to submit works across multiple categories, including Multimedia, 3-D, and 2-D. The event aims to activate one of the county’s most historic landmarks while providing a platform for local talent to showcase their talents

The official call for art begins April 20 and runs through May 20. Following the submission period, a curated selection of works will be displayed during a public exhibition at the CA&C Visitor Center, 501 S. Main St., Mount Vernon, from July 10 to Aug. 14. Visitors to the exhibition will also have the opportunity to participate in the Community Choice award, voting for their favorite pieces throughout the summer.

"We are incredibly excited to bring the community together through this collaboration," said Jeff Williams, representative for the Kokosing Valley Arts Alliance. "Art at the Park is about more than just a competition; it’s about highlighting the incredible depth of talent we have here and giving artists a dedicated space to share their stories with neighbors and visitors alike."

The Knox County CVB views this event as a cornerstone of the summer season, blending cultural heritage with local tourism. By hosting the exhibition at the CA&C Visitor Center — a hub for travelers and trail-users — Art at the Park offers an accessible, family-friendly way to engage with the local arts scene.

In addition to the KVAA and the Knox County CVB, the event is supported by several local cultural partners, including Kudos Artist Co-Op, The Coleman Gallery, Gallery on Gambier, Pine Row Studio, The Schnormeier Gallery and The Annex.
