Save & Serve raises $5,724 for Bible program
Funds support Nehemiah Released Time's Bible education for public school students
Save & Serve Thrift Shop raised $5,724 for the Nehemiah Released Time program during its March Benefit Day, continuing its commitment to supporting the local community through meaningful partnerships.
The proceeds will support Nehemiah Released Time’s mission of providing Bible education to public school students off campus. The program gives students a voluntary, faith-based opportunity to study the Bible during school hours.
Eric Raber, Save & Serve general manager, said this program is especially meaningful to him because his mother spent many years teaching released-time Bible classes in the Garaway Local School District.
“She cared deeply about helping children experience the Bible, and I remember the impact that her loving, gentle presence had on their lives,” he said. “It means a lot to see that same kind of meaningful work still being carried out for children and families in our community.”
Benefit Days are an ongoing initiative, with a select day each month dedicated to supporting organizations that reflect the values of Save & Serve. The thrift store’s customers, donors and volunteers make these efforts possible, turning everyday shopping into support for causes close to home.
