May programs set at Loudonville Public Library
Events planned for families and adults
The Loudonville Public Library has announced a lineup of programs and events for May, offering activities for families and adults.
Family Nerf Night will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. May 1. The event invites families to participate in a Nerf battle featuring friendly competition and activities for all ages 5 and older. Participants must provide their own equipment, including Nerf guns and darts. Registration is required and limited to 15 families.
An adult book discussion will take place at 11 a.m. May 15 in the Golden Center. The featured book is “The Queens of Crime” by Marie Benedict. Copies are available at the circulation desk one month prior to the discussion. New members are welcome, and refreshments will be provided.
The library will partner with The Ohio Theatre to host a free movie event featuring the 2007 musical film “Hairspray” at 6:30 p.m. May 20. The event is part of the Ohio Goes to the Movies series and will include pre-show activities beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by the film at 7 p.m. Seating will be available on a first-come basis.
The Friends of the Library will host a sidewalk book sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 23 outside the library’s west entrance, weather permitting. The sale will feature gently used books, with proceeds supporting library programs and materials.
The library will be closed May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.
