Door of Hope Ministry of Columbus, North Carolina, will host a banquet April 14 at the Carlisle Inn in Walnut Creek, offering an evening centered on stories of transformation, healing and hope through Christ-centered counseling.
Founded by Jason Schlabach, formerly of Sugarcreek, Door of Hope Ministry has for more than two decades been walking alongside individuals, couples and families seeking restoration and deeper understanding in their relationship with God. Through counseling and personal ministry, the team is committed to helping people experience freedom, clarity and renewed purpose.
The Walnut Creek community holds deep significance for the ministry. It was at the Carlisle Inn that the original vision for Door of Hope was first shared 26 years ago. Jason and his wife, Fern, were both raised in the Sugarcreek area, making this region not only foundational to the ministry’s beginnings but also personally meaningful.
“One of the key functions within God’s kingdom is the principle of honor,” Jason said. “As people begin to understand how God’s kingdom works in everyday life, it opens the door for healing and restoration in ways they may have never thought possible.”
The upcoming banquet will highlight the ongoing work of Door of Hope Ministry and provide a closer look at how counseling is impacting lives. Guests will hear directly from counselors and gain insight into the ministry’s approach to addressing real-life struggles with biblical truth, compassion and practical guidance. Jason will also share briefly about the heart and direction of the ministry in this next season.
Attendees can expect an encouraging and meaningful evening, featuring firsthand accounts of lives changed through the ministry. The event is designed not only to inform but also to inspire hope for those who may be walking through difficult seasons.
Reservations are required by March 31. Guests may RSVP online at doorofhopeministry.com (events tab), contact the North Carolina office at 828-393-0019 or email mail@doorofhopeministry.com. A freewill offering will be received.
