TOPS 506 promotes Roscoe Village at event in Lima
Coshocton members created a Historic Roscoe Village basket for the Ohio State Recognition Days raffle May 1-2
Several members of TOPS 506, which meets weekly at 9:30 a.m. Mondays at Roscoe UMC, attended the Ohio State Recognition Days Celebration in Lima May 1-2.
All Ohio chapters had the opportunity to create a gift basket for the celebration’s annual basket raffle, which is conducted to help defray the cost of the event. TOPS 506 decided to represent Coshocton by making a Historic Roscoe Village basket. Members donated some items or made a cash donation for the shoppers to spend at the Roscoe shops.
There was a total of 13 local shops represented in the basket, which was created by Patricia Shroyer, a member of the group. Each shop’s business card was taped to each appropriate item so the winners would know which shop they might want to visit. The goal was to highlight the beauty and uniqueness of Roscoe and encourage others to visit.
After the auction of more than 30 different baskets, the ladies came upon the winners of the Historic Roscoe Village basket in the hotel lobby. Shroyer and Nora Miller spoke to the winners and answered all their questions about the contents.
