Wayne County retired teachers to meet April 21

Event at Smithville's Career Center to feature Habitat for Humanity program and student-prepared lunch

The Wayne County Retired Teachers Association will meet April 21 at the Wayne County Schools Career Center with a Habitat for Humanity program and lunch served by students.

The Wayne County Retired Teachers Association will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 21 at the Wayne County Schools Career Center, 518 W. Prospect St., Smithville, in the 518 Bistro Cafe.

Following a short business meeting, lunch will be prepared and served by WCSCC food service students. The program will focus on Habitat for Humanity and will be presented by representatives Beth Weaver and Aaron Cochrell.

Lunch reservations are $16 and can be made by calling or texting 339-936-9238 or by emailing mrplybon@aol.com.

Donations of kitchen items for Habitat for Humanity and contributions to the annual teacher grant and annual scholarship fund will be accepted.

All retired teachers residing in Wayne County are encouraged to attend.
