The family-friendly event will feature free parking, free admission, fair-food-style vendors, nearly 200 exhibitors, a plant sale, new car displays and children’s activities.
McFarland said the show offers something for everyone looking to refresh or transform their home and lawn this spring.
“Whether you want to protect and enhance the exterior of your house, redesign your interior spaces or reimagine your lawn and garden, the Home & Garden Show is your one-stop destination for inspiration, ideas and expert services,” she said.
Families attending the show will be able to visit the Children’s Garden, sponsored by MCTV, with additional support from other local businesses. The interactive area is designed to keep kids of all ages entertained with crafts and activities. Children can plant a flower, color, complete a craft and take part in a scavenger hunt that leads them throughout the event to visit different vendors. Once they complete the scavenger hunt, they will be entered for a chance to win a grand prize donated by Rural King.
The chamber team’s goal is to make the event enjoyable for the whole family, giving parents time to explore the exhibits while kids have fun with hands-on activities.

“(It will be) the perfect place to get your fair food fix while enjoying the show,” McFarland said.
The annual show is the result of months of hard work, preparation, coordination and outreach. Planning begins well before April each year. Chamber staff start working on the event in the fall, and exhibitor registration opens in January.
“We are fortunate to have a dedicated committee of volunteers who play an important role in ensuring the event runs smoothly,” McFarland said. “Together, we spend many hours planning the exhibitor layout, communicating with vendors and coordinating the setup of the event space to create a great experience for both exhibitors and attendees.
“The Home & Garden Committee is a dedicated group of individuals who generously donate their time and expertise to help ensure the show runs smoothly. Volunteers assist in the Children’s Garden to provide fun experiences for kids attending the event, and others help maintain the event space and work closely with the vendors to make sure everything is organized and ready for a successful show."

The Home & Garden Show allows businesses to showcase their products and services to the public with a long-standing tradition that helps to kick off the spring season. Over the course of two days, vendors have a valuable platform to connect with attendees, share ideas and build relationships in a welcoming environment, bringing the community together while inspiring those looking for products and services to update, refresh and enhance their homes, lawns and gardens.
The Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce expresses its gratitude to The Apple Creek Banking Company for its long-standing support of the show. It also thanks all other sponsors who help bring the event to life each spring.
“We’re excited to welcome the community back for the 2026 Wayne County Home & Garden Show,” said Samira Zimmerly, president and CEO of the Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce. “This event brings together local businesses and residents for a weekend filled with ideas, inspiration and connections.
