Exchange Club of Orrville members placed 130 Field of Honor flags at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville for Memorial Day week.

The flags were flown May 21-28 in the field adjacent to the fire station on Crown Hill Road. The project is intended to show active-duty service members, veterans, firefighters, EMS workers, EMTs, paramedics and law-enforcement officers they are remembered, honored, thanked and appreciated for their work to keep the community safe.

The Field of Honor Project is designed through flag sponsorships. Each sponsored flag includes the name and branch represented by the person being honored. The cost is $30 per flag for the entire 2026 season.

Proceeds from the project provide $1,300 each to the Orrville Police Department and Orrville Fire Department, with the remainder going to the Exchange Club for community projects.

There is room for more flags to be flown during Veterans Day week in 2026.

Those interested in sponsoring a flag for Veterans Day week and/or the 2027 season, which includes Memorial Day and Veterans Day weeks, may call or email Lisa Reusser at 330-683-2888 or momfirst@zoominternet.net.
