Partnership delivers safe, engaging care for Dalton students
The YMCA of Wayne County and Cornerstone Community Church recently celebrated the launch of a new community partnership with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at Cornerstone Community Church in Dalton. Beginning this school year, the partnership will offer before- and after-school care for Dalton students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
The program aims to support working families by providing a safe and engaging environment for children outside school hours. Care will be offered Monday through Friday from 6:30-9 a.m. and 3-6 p.m.
“We are thrilled to partner with Cornerstone Community Church to bring this much-needed service to Dalton families,” said Audrey Smith, child care coordinator at the YMCA of Wayne County. “This program is designed to enrich children's lives while giving parents peace of mind.”
The program will be hosted at Cornerstone Community Church, 18600 Davis Road, Dalton. Both YMCA member and nonmember rates are available to ensure accessibility for as many families as possible.
