The Orrville Public Library will host a variety of programs and activities throughout April for all ages.
The library’s Book Club will meet at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9 to discuss “The Little Liar” by Mitch Albom, and books are available near the information desk. No registration is required.
The children’s department will feature a Tadpole Observation Station throughout April, allowing visitors to observe the transformation from tadpole to frog. Guests are encouraged to stop by often to see the changes.
The Speed Puzzle Challenge will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 18. Teams of two to four participants will race to complete a 500-piece puzzle. The event is limited to five teams, and registration will begin April 4. Participants may register through the library’s website calendar or by calling 330-683-1065.
Preschool Play Labs will be held from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesdays, April 8 and 22. Designed for children age 2-5, the program will feature hands-on activity stations. No registration is required.
Pictures with the Easter Bunny will be available from 10-11 a.m. and 6-7 p.m. Thursday, April 2. No reservations are needed.
Coffee & Crafts will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 2, in partnership with the Orrville YMCA in the library’s lower-level meeting room. Participants will create an Easter egg wreath. The free program is open to age 16 and older, and registration is required through the website or by calling 330-683-1065.
Teens Cook: Breakfast will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, April 10. Students in sixth grade through 12th grade will learn to prepare scrambled eggs and cheesy potatoes using a microwave. Registration begins March 27 through the website or by calling 330-683-1065.
The Cookbook Club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, April 6, featuring “Brunch Season: A Year of Delicious Mornings from the Buttermilk Kitchen” by Suzanne Vizethann. Participants are invited to bring a dish to share. No registration is required.
The Youth Book Club for middle school students will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 16 to discuss “Blood in the Water” by Tiffany D. Jackson. Registration will begin April 2 and can be completed through the website or by calling the children’s department.
