The Wayne County Civil War Round Table and DAR Wooster-Wayne Chapter will host a free, interactive program Nov. 10 at the Wayne County Historical Society featuring Kyle von Kamp as George Washington exploring the moral and leadership dilemmas he faced.

The Wayne County Civil War Round Table and the Daughters of the American Revolution Wooster-Wayne Chapter will jointly host a free program Nov. 10 at 5:30 p.m. at the Wayne County Historical Society schoolhouse, located on the Wayne County Historical Society campus, 546 E. Bowman St., Wooster.

The program will feature Kyle von Kamp, a Revolutionary War reenactor, presenting Scruples — The George Washington Edition.

Step into the boots of the founding father to explore the personal and political moral dilemmas George Washington faced, from the battlefield to the presidency. Based on the classic game Scruples, this special edition challenges players to weigh questions of honor, loyalty and leadership in the life of America’s first president. Would you sign a surrender document in a foreign language? Burn villages in wartime? Refuse a crown?

von Kamp was awarded the Ohio Daughters of the American Revolution Outstanding Teacher of American History in 2018. He has been a history teacher in Willard City Schools since 2001. He said, "Students should experience history and culture,” and he demonstrates those ideas.
