Medina High School students capped off a creative school year with standout performances at the 2025 Visual Art Festival’s “Best of Medina County” High School Show, earning recognition for their artistic achievements.
Senior Addison Dressel led the way, winning Best of Show for her colored pencil drawing Two Sides of the Same Coin. The award includes a $300 prize and adds to her growing list of accolades, which includes Scholastic Gold and Silver Keys and multiple Best of Show honors at the county fair.
Dressel, a dedicated contributor to the school’s Art Club and creative community, recently submitted her AP Drawing portfolio featuring a series of personal portraits. She plans to study art history at Bowling Green State University this fall, pursuing a career in the arts.Also recognized was sophomore Ana Burjanadze, whose mixed-media piece The Knight and the Panther earned an Honorable Mention in the exhibition.
In total, eight Medina High School students had work selected for the juried show, highlighting the school’s commitment to nurturing student expression through the arts.
