Celebrating local businesses & organizations

The Knox County Chamber of Commerce announced five ribbon cutting ceremonies will be taking place in April. These events are a wonderful opportunity to connect with business owners, explore new spaces, and show your support for KnoxCounty’s continued economic growth.

The chamber invites all residents, professionals, and community supporters to join us in celebrating these businesses and organizations:

•Heart of Ohio Playground – Centerburg Memorial Park

Thursday, April 2, 61 Johnsville Road, Centerburg, 4:30 p.m.

Help commemorate this exciting new addition to the community. Families are encouraged to attend, explore the new playground, and enjoy food and snow cones provided by Centerburg Church of Christ.

•Jackie K’s Vintage Venue

Thursday, April 9, 120 S. Main Street, Mount Vernon, 12-12:30 p.m.

A naturally lit, high-ceiling venue located right on Main Street, is perfect for intimate celebrations, creative gatherings, and unforgettable moments.

Then, on Saturday, April 11, join them for their official grand opening from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

•The Gallery on Gambier

Friday, April 10, 14 E. Gambier Street, Mount Vernon, 12-1 p.m.

The gallery represents the work of more than 20 Ohio artists, many of whom live within 30 minutes of the gallery. Featured prominently is stained glass artwork created by gallery owners, Kurt and Lorry Wendling. In addition to showcasing fine art, the gallery offers a full-service custom framing center.

Beginning in April, The Gallery on Gambier will also offer stained glass and fused glass classes, along with a selection of stained-glass supplies for artists and hobbyists. The public is invited to attend and show their support. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

•CES Credit Union, Yauger Road Office

Wednesday, April 15, 1215 Yauger Road, Mount Vernon, 4-5:30 p.m.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet the new President & CEO, Mike Copley, along with Service Center Manager Daniel Stewart and their team. Attendees are also invited to tour the newly renovated lobby and enjoy light refreshments.
