YMCA hosts NEO league gymnastics meet

The Tuscarawas YMCA was host to a two-day NEO league gymnastics meet Jan. 6-7. YMCA teams from Cambridge, North Canton, Riverfront, Wayne County and Tuscarawas County attended with 239 gymnasts competing. The meet competed compulsory and optional levels 2-10 and all Xcel levels.

High all-around scorers for the Tuscarawas team were Kendall Geers with 35.925 out of a possible 40 points, Lily Endlich with 35.825 and Skyler Kellerman with 35.025.

Local gymnasts earning a 9.0 or higher score on individual events were as follows: Jaycie Baker on vault (9.0) and floor (9.05), Kendall Geers on vault (9.2) and floor (9.225), Lily Endlich on beam (9.0) and floor (9.225), Ellie Horger on bars (9.0) and floor (9.1), Landry Little on floor (9.25), Mia McPeek on floor (9.2), Sofia Secrest on vault (9.3), Vivian Denny on floor (9.25), Ari Burcher on vault (9.25), Alaysia Garner on beam (9.05), and Skyler Kellerman on vault (9.2).

Those awarded first place were Sofia Secrest on vault and bars, Jaycie Baker on vault, Kendall Geers on vault, Lily Endlich on floor, Ellie Horger on bars, Skyler Kellerman on vault, and Ari Burcher on vault.

Individual awards were given to the top six places on each event. Tuscarawas gymnasts receiving ribbons were as follows:

Level 7

—Mia McPeek: third on bars and floor, fifth all around, and sixth on vault.

—Landry Little: second on floor.

Level 6

—Jaycie Baker: first on vault; second on bars, floor and all around; and third on beam.

—Lily Denney: second on vault, third on bars, fourth on floor and all around, and sixth on beam.

—Layla Porter: fourth on vault and floor, fifth all around, and sixth on beam.

—Vivian Denney: second on floor, fourth on beam, and sixth all around.

—Kinsley McDonald: fifth on bars.

Xcel Gold

—Kendall Geers: firth on vault, second on bars and all around, third on floor, and fourth on beam.

—Lily Endlich: first on floor; second on vault; and third on bars, beam and all around.

—Sofia Secrest: first on vault and bars and fourth all around.

—Gracyn Beaber: second on vault, fourth all around, fifth on bars and sixth on beam.

—Penelope Endlich: fifth on beam and sixth on floor.

Level 5

—Rebekah Klaserner: sixth on vault.

—Anna Bonvechio: sixth on floor.

Level 4

—Arli Waller: fourth on floor, fifth on bars and sixth on beam.

—Ellie Horger: first on bars, third all around and fourth on floor.

—Jaylee Lute: sixth on vault and bars.

—Presley Lute: third on vault and fifth on beam.

—Kinley Reichman: third on vault.
