Wayne Board of Elections to hold Candidate Academy

Building upon the success of the Voter Academy series presented in 2024, the Wayne County Board of Elections will offer a Candidate Academy for local candidates in 2025. This one-hour program will provide information regarding the candidate petition filing and verification process, as well as an overview of campaign finance requirements and filing processes.

There will be two sessions held for potential candidates for township, municipal and school board positions appearing on the Nov. 4 general election ballot. The first will be Tuesday, May 20, and the second will be Tuesday, June 24.

There is no cost for the Candidate Academy, but preregistration is required. Participants can register via email at Wayne@Ohiosos.gov or by calling the board of elections at 330-287-5480. For more information visit the board’s website at www.WayneCountyOH.gov.
