The United Way welcomes Hartman
Hannah Hartman

The board of directors of United Way of Tuscarawas County, along with CEO/President Sarah Spies, hired Hannah Hartman as the new community engagement and events manager.

Hartman has most recently served as an account executive at WJER Radio in Dover. Working on the air and behind the scenes at the radio station has given her experience with the 19 social service agencies supported by the local United Way.

“I’m so thrilled to join the United Way, a highly respected organization that serves so many agencies that positively impact my friends and neighbors in Tuscarawas County,” Hartman said. “I believe the invaluable experience I’ve gained and the network of community professionals I’ve built during my nearly 17 years with WJER Radio will serve me well in my new role, and I look forward to doing everything I can to further the mission of the United Way.”

Hartman is active throughout the area, volunteering for the Tuscarawas Valley Farmers Market and other organizations. Hartman will be responsible for interactions with donors, social and other media connections, and coordinating fundraising activities.

“I am ecstatic to be bringing Hannah on board here at United Way,” Spies said. “Her passion for our community and her familiarity with our mission make her a perfect fit for this role. I am really looking forward to working with her.”

Hartman begins her duties as United Way of Tuscarawas County remains actively collecting donations from its 2024 Campaign while gearing up for its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Visit www.tuscunitedway.org.
