Serious waterline break to be repaired in Sugarcreek

Mayor Walt Wilson told Sugarcreek Council at the Jan. 9 meeting that there was a serious waterline break at the water treatment plant. Village employees were on the scene to make repairs from 9 a.m. on Jan. 9 to Jan. 10 at 1 a.m. They placed a band on the area until it can be property repaired. Quicksall and Associates were consulted for engineering advice to replace the waterline.

“We called the Local Emergency Notification System at the county sheriff’s office for a reverse 911 emergency call to residents; however, only 300 received the call. We are asking residents to enroll online at www.tuscarawascountysheriff.com. It was a situation we could have been without water in the village,” Wilson said.
