The Orrville Public Library building is now open with limited hours. The current hours for both the building and the drive-up window are Monday and Thursday from 2-7 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday from noon to 5 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The first hour of each day is reserved for at-risk patrons. The building is closed on Saturday, but the drive-up window is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In the interest of keeping all visitors and library staff as safe as possible, the library has adopted a few basic guidelines:
—No more than 50 patrons are permitted in the building at one time.
—Patrons age 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
—Masks are not required for general browsing but are strongly recommended.
—Library use is limited to browsing and checking out materials; reading noncirculating publications; and using the public computers, Wi-Fi, copier, scanner and fax machine. A limited number of public-access computers are available with their use limited to one hour.
—A face covering is required during computer usage.
—There is limited public seating, and the meeting and quiet study rooms are unavailable.
To keep everyone as safe as possible, all high-touch surfaces including counter tops, railings, restrooms and computers will be disinfected frequently throughout the day. Patrons or staff that are sick are requested to stay home.
Returned items will be quarantined for 72 hours. Items will remain on your account for approximately five days before they are returned to the shelf, as the process to quarantine, sort, clean and check in items takes extra time. No fines will be assessed on any of these items.
As always, the website catalog is available 24/7 at www.orrville.lib.oh.us. Check your account, browse the catalog, renew items or request new materials. Phone service begins at 11 a.m. each day, and staff members will gladly pull items from shelves and place them at the drive-up window for pick-up.
