Orrville Area United Way offering special grant opportunity

Orrville Area United Way will offer a funding opportunity this summer — the Further Together Grant. Thanks to a combination of investment earnings, campaign funds exceeding goal and organizational expenses coming in below budgeted targets, OAUW is allocating an additional $30,000 to support programs in the community. This grant extends beyond the annual campaign, reinforcing OAUW’s commitment to investing in local nonprofits, strengthening connections and making a greater impact.

Nonprofit organizations serving Dalton, Marshallville and Orrville are encouraged to apply. This opportunity is available to both current and past OAUW grant recipients and other local organizations providing services that strengthen the community.

The Further Together Grant application will be open May 1-31 and available on the Orrville Area United Way website. Applications will be reviewed by the citizens review committee, with recommendations made to the board of directors to ensure the most effective use of funds. Grant recipients will be notified by mid-July.

Orrville Area United Way focuses funding in four areas: nurturing children and youth, developing life skills, helping in hard times, and promoting health and wellness. Since 1958 OAUW has raised and distributed over $18.5 million to programs that strengthen Dalton, Marshallville and Orrville.
