A total of 269 different families came to the Love Center during April. Some families came in more than once, making a grand total of 353 visits. Food from the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank was 41,660 pounds, and food donated by businesses, churches and individuals was 5,664 pounds. Volunteer hours served at the Love Center totaled 700.
Food and cash donations from churches and ministries included Church of God Food Bank, Clark Presbyterian Church, Gateway Fellowship, St. John’s Church of Walnut Creek, St. John’s Women’s Ministry in Millersburg and Zion Reformed Church.
Food and cash donations from businesses, organizations and clubs included Ace Hardware, Amish Door Market, B & L Transport, Berlin Natural Bakery, Der Dutchman, Emma Cates Crust Bakery, First Federal Community Bank, Hershberger Farm & Bakery, Hillcrest Orchard, Inn Maid Noodles, Jitters Coffee House, Kauffman Bakery, Killbuck Savings Bank, Mac Oil Field Service Inc., Mrs. Miller’s Noodles, Mt. Hope Country Health Store and Three H Farm.
Food and cash donations from individuals included Michelle Alexander, Brian Barbey, Nancy Bridenthal, Ray Casdorph, Rachel Day, Steve Dronongowski, Kay Earney, Ann Fleming, Dave Hostetler, Norma Hoxworth, Bruce Hummel, Joanne Hunter, Sue Kauffman, Carita Keim, Rachel Miller, Teri Mohr, Betty Mullet, Ruth Nussbaum, Eric Shaver, Corrine Simpson, Bob Starner, Yvonne Torrence, James Warburton, Katharyn Wheeler and seven anonymous.
