Love Center gets 312 visits in June
A number of different families came to the Love Center during the month of June. Some families came in more than once, making a grand total of 312 visits. Food from the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank was 13,560 pounds, and food donated by businesses, churches and individuals was 14,372 pounds. Volunteer hours served at the Love Center totaled 754.
Food and cash donations from churches and ministries included Community Bible Church, Faith Bible Church, Faith Lutheran Church, Fairview South Church, Holmesville Church of Christ, Light in the Valley Chapel, Love INC, Martins Creek Mennonite Church, Millersburg Methodist Church, St. John’s Church of Walnut Creek, St. John’s Women’s Ministry of Millersburg and Zion Reformed Church of Winesburg.
Food and cash donations from businesses, organizations and clubs included Ace Hardware, Berlin Natural Bakery, Berlin Village Inn, Emma Cates Crust Bakery, Coblentz Chocolates, D & M Market, Dutch Craft Furniture, East Holmes Schools, Farmside Country Market, Feikert Sand & Gravel, Harvest Thrift Store, Hershberger Farm & Bakery, Holmes County Home, Jitters Coffee House, Kauffman Bakery, Kauffman Lawn Furniture, Killbuck Savings Bank, McDonald’s of Millersburg, Mrs. Miller’s Homemade Noodles, Pleasant Valley Poultry, Pomerene Hospital, Sycamore Run, TH Manufacturing, Twin Springs Farm, Walmart of Millersburg, Weaver Produce and WKLM.
