Geitgey now sole owner of Sheer Professionals

Sheer Professionals is entering a new phase under the sole ownership of Lacye Geitgey. After five years of co-ownership with Sandra Carr, Geitgey now assumes full leadership of the salon. The salon’s founder Donna Beam passed the torch to Geitgey five years ago, and since then Geitgey and Carr have worked together to build upon the salon’s reputation for excellence.

“I am incredibly honored to continue the legacy of Sheer Professionals,” Geitgey said. “While we deeply respect our rich history, we are equally excited to embrace the future, introducing new experiences and services that elevate the client journey — all while preserving the warmth and personal touch that our guests cherish.”

Carr will transition out of ownership but remain a part of the Sheer Professionals family. Carr will continue to serve her clientele as a stylist while also playing a role in advancing the salon’s educational initiatives through her ongoing work with Matrix.

“Though I am stepping away from ownership, I am thrilled to continue contributing to our exceptional staff and supporting our clients in my new role,” Carr said. “Lacye is an innovative leader, and I have absolute confidence in her vision for the salon’s future. I look forward to seeing Sheer Professionals continue to evolve and grow under her expert guidance.”

As Sheer Professionals celebrates 48 years, the salon looks forward to its 50th anniversary in 2026.
