The Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently announced Dan Franks has been selected president and CEO of the organization. Franks will begin in his new role on Sept. 19.
Franks will serve as the OACC’s eighth president, succeeding Lori Reinbolt, who retired in July. Reinbolt served in the role since 2013.
“Finding the right replacement for Lori Reinbolt was a long process, and the chamber board is thrilled to introduce Dan Franks as her successor,” said Kristin Endsley, OACC board chair. “We are excited he is joining our team and look forward to finding new ways to be the resource for our members.”
“I’ve always enjoyed building relationships, and the chamber provides opportunities to come alongside business and civic leaders to accomplish goals and turn dreams into reality,” Franks said. “I’m honored to take the reins of an already thriving chamber and look forward to serving the people of Orrville and surrounding communities.”
Franks grew up in Smithville and graduated from Kent State University with a degree in telecommunications. He spent over 25 years in Christian radio including stops in Kansas, Kentucky, Columbus and Western Ohio.
While working in Union City, Ohio, he served as the president of the Chamber of Commerce. Franks helped guide the Union City Chamber of Commerce out of financial difficulties while developing an economic-development initiative and strengthened connections between the local schools and businesses.
Seven years ago Franks returned to Wayne County to work at Christian Children’s Home of Ohio, where he has served as the director of development.
