The Orrville Exchange Club Flag project, The Field of Honor, is designed to appreciate all services — veterans, active-duty, fire, police, law enforcement, EMS, EMT and paramedics — for those who are currently alive and for those who have passed.
The project is designed to sell sponsorships for flags, with proceeds going to the Orrville Fire Department, Orrville Police Department and community projects equally. The flags fly during the weeks of Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Each flag costs $30 for the year and has the name and service of the person being honored. The flags are flown in The Field of Honor adjacent to the Orrville Fire Department on Crown Hill Road.
This Memorial Day, 130 flags were sold. More are available for the fall display. If interested in sponsoring a flag for the week of Veterans Day, call or email Lisa Reusser at 330-683-2888 or momfirst@zoominternet.net. Checks should be made payable to Orrville Exchange, P.O. Box 64, Orrville, OH 44667.
