Dover Democrats to meet May 29 to select candidate

The Dover City Democratic Central Committee will meet Thursday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Democratic Headquarters, 1260 Monroe St. NW, New Philadelphia, to select a new candidate to replace Michael DiDonato, the Democratic nominee for Dover City Council At-Large, who has formally withdrawn from the 2025 general election.

Democrats residing in the city of Dover who are interested in being considered for the open ballot position are encouraged to attend the meeting to speak with the central committee. The committee is responsible for naming a replacement candidate for the November general election ballot.
