Crissey Pool not opening

Crissey Pool not opening
Published Modified

As the state lifts the stay-at-home order and opens up public swimming pools, the James L. Crissey Memorial Pool in Millersburg will not be opening May 26.

The Holmes County Park District continues to monitor the current guidelines from state and local health officials. The health and safety of the staff and community members is the utmost concern.

At this point in time, the Park District does not think it is in the best interest of the community or the Park District to open the Crissey Memorial Pool due to strict protocols set by the state and how those protocols would alter the enjoyment of the community, if they decide to open the pool, it will not be the same as years past. Social distancing guidelines would be enforced on pool decks and in the water and, due to the strict guidelines and the capacity at the pool will be greatly limited. Guidelines will be re-evaluated by June 5.
