Cleveland Jazz Orchestra joins philharmonic on PAC stage

The Tuscarawas Philharmonic will welcome pianist Jackie Warren and members of the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra led by Canton native Paul Ferguson for an evening of jazz and jazz-inspired classics on Feb. 1 at 7:30 p.m. for the first concert of 2020 at the Performing Arts Center at Kent State Tuscarawas in New Philadelphia.

From Duke Ellington’s suite from “The River” to George Gershwin’s 1924 “Rhapsody in Blue,” these talented musicians under the direction of Eric Benjamin, the philharmonic’s music director and conductor, will assemble to perform swing and jazz classics.

Season and individual tickets can be purchased through the website at www.tuscarawasphilharmonic.org or by calling the KSU Performing Arts Center box office at 330-308-6400. Prices range from $26 to $38, with student and senior discounts available.
