Sometimes 15 years can pass by in the wink of an eye.
Such is the case for the staff at Berlin Grande Hotel, which will host its 15th anniversary soon, and general manager Doug Burgess said the staff is eager to roll out the red carpet for a two-day anniversary event.
The 15th anniversary celebration will be July 9-10 at Berlin Grande Hotel, where there will be some special events, a raffle and more as the hotel looks back at the past 15 years while at the same time looking forward.
“People can sign up to win a Yeti cooler full of meat. We’re giving away glasses and doing all sorts of cool things,” Burgess said. “It should be an exciting time.”
The Exclusively Yours Food Truck will be on the premises during the celebration, providing plenty of food, and Burgess said while the event is very inclusive to guests and community, the focal point he didn’t want to overlook was the people who come to work every day to make the overnight stay experience a memorable one for all guests and visitors.
“One of the things that really dawned on me in setting up this anniversary celebration was the realization that the reason we’ve been so successful over the past 15 years has been our employees,” Burgess said. “Our employees are just lights out, and they do all of the little things each and every day that makes it a special experience for those who trust us to create a clean, comfortable experience.”
Burgess said he hears time and again how clean the place is and how people can’t believe the hotel is 15 years old.
That effort is why Burgess said honoring them during this time is so meaningful.
“I want all of them to understand how incredibly appreciated they are,” Burgess said.
He went on to talk about how owners Rod and Becky Starr have set the table for success, making sure every amenity is proper, every room is ideal and even adding things like the new pavilion that enhance the stayover experience.
The public is invited to stop by and join in the celebration, in what Burgess anticipates will be a time of fellowship and looking back.
“It’s hard to believe that we’ve been here already for 15 years,” Burgess said. “It’s been a true blessing to a lot of people, and we hope to celebrate our time together.”
Berlin Grande Hotel is located at 4787 Township Road 366 in Berlin.
