Bella Ghezzi, 14, of New Philadelphia won Best of Show at the third annual ARTrageous Kids Art Show at Alley Cats Market Place, 115 Allen Lane SW, New Philadelphia. Ghezzi will be a freshman at New Philadelphia High School and is the daughter of Scott and Sarah Ghezzi.

Her entry was made from black Sharpies and titled “Blooms.” She said it took two to three hours to create. She also showed a painting of faces she created by using Sharpies and brush tips. Those types of arts involve about 45 minutes. She won a $100 gift certificate to Blick Art Supply.

Aria Sanner, 13, won the Alley Cat Award. She used acrylics to create a collage. She received a goody bag of art supplies and items from Alley Cats Market Place. She is the daughter of Shane and Heidi Sanner.

Judges were Debbie Aubihl-Knisely, owner of Alley Cats; Vivian Mosley, fine and graphic artist; and Jessica Haney, owner of MM2.

Mosley said the art show is held for youth age 3-17. However, all ages did not enter this year.

“Young artists are featured to show their art work. Our plans are to hold the art show in early July 2025 so there are more entries. There were less entries this year compared to over 100 in 2023,” Mosley said.

Winners in order of finish were as follows:

—Age 6-7: Amira Sanner, Sedonia Daniels and Hadley Richardson.

—Age 8-9: Talea Tucker, Wednesday Engstrom and Mila Ridgeway.

—Age 10-14: Bella Ghezzi, Sofia Graffe and Elliott Finlayson.
