TuscParks and the Norma Johnson Center are adding art classes to their event schedule with the help of artist Katie Lane. All home-schooled students are welcome to attend.

Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 26, NJC will host Art Explorers with two sessions to choose from: 11 a.m. to noon and 1-2 p.m. Each session is $10 with a maximum of $20 per family. Future events will be held the fourth Wednesday of the month through May at TuscParks Brandywine Center, 4820 Old Route 39, Dover.

Lane holds a B.A. in Fine Arts from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and has dedicated her career to creative education. She and her husband founded and ran an art center in Mount Vernon, where she taught all ages before having three kids. For the past two years, she has hosted nature-based summer art camps at her home, providing hands-on experiences for children.
