Saturday, Oct. 4, brought beautiful weather and bustling crowds to historic downtown Hartville, where the 720 Market filled the streets with shopping, music, food, and community spirit.
The event stretched through the Shops on Sunnyside, Schumacker Plaza, and Prospect Avenue, offering a fall shopping experience that drew large crowds early in the day. Parking lots, including those at Lake Elementary School, filled quickly as families arrived to take part in the festivities.
The market was sponsored by the Lake Township Chamber of Commerce through its Discover Hartville brand, along with the Village of Hartville. Additional sponsors included ArtsinStark, Visit Canton, the YMCA, the 720 Art Initiative, and Greenport Financial Advisors. Admission was free.
Both the outdoor tents and local storefronts saw a steady flow of visitors throughout the day. Live music at the Deuble Square Pavilion in Deuble Park featured the Prime Trio in the morning and the Triple Play Band in the afternoon. Attendees lined up at shops such as The Crazy Cucumber to sample local products while enjoying the 720 Market’s signature community atmosphere.
Families also took part in free activities, including mini pumpkin painting with guest artist Brewtifully, face painting by Kayla Jo Face Paints, and caricatures by Jarrod Sievert.

The extensive vendor lineup included 4E Design Shoppe, Angels Cupcakes, Bloom Hill Farm, Buckeye Brownies, GentleBrook Greenhouse + Farm, Honey Girl Donuts, Joe’s Sourdough Bread, Maize Valley Craft Brewery, The Bohemian Mama, The Purple Thistle Botanicals, Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee, and The Yummy Pita Food Truck, among many others.
The 720 Market, based in North Canton, is a curated open-air market that showcases local makers, bakers, brewers, and growers. The family-run business, led by Lynn and David Shimko, launched the concept in 2016 and has since expanded it to nearby communities.
Known for its “shop local” spirit and festive atmosphere, the 720 Market continues to offer a fun, family-friendly way to celebrate small businesses, creativity, and community connection across Northeast Ohio.
