Join a gentle tai chi series designed to improve joint
health, balance and overall wellness. This virtual program will feature the
sun style of tai chi, known for movements that are safe and
effective for all ages and abilities. Benefits include improved flexibility and
balance, fall prevention, and a way to connect with others across
the state. Whether seated or standing, guided sessions promote
strength, relaxation and confidence.
This virtual
series will include sixteen 45-minute sessions with certified tai chi
instructors through Ohio State University Extension. Each session builds upon
the skills learned in the previous sessions, so regular attendance is
encouraged. No exercise equipment is required for this tai chi series.
For safety precautions, all participants will be on camera during class time. Sessions will not
be recorded or shared in any way. Tai chi forms will be presented both in a
standing and seated position for individuals of all abilities. This program is
offered free of charge and is sponsored by Ohio State University Extension.
The winter series will begin Jan. 20 and run for eight weeks, meeting Tuesdays and
Thursdays at 2 p.m. A Zoom link will be shared with registered participants in
early January. For more information and to register, visit www.go.osu.edu/taichisignup.
