Coshocton Baptist Church on Denman
Avenue along with the Coshocton Ministerial Association hosted a
trunk-or-treat fall festival, Shine a Light for Jesus, on Oct. 25.
Coshocton Baptist Church Pastor Mike Walters
said, "We're shining a light for Jesus, handing out verses to help people
by showing them there is a light and there is always help available if they
need it."
This is the fourth year for the event.
"I don't know how many kids we have, but I go through
a thousand pieces of candy, and it will stay like this until way after 6
o'clock," Walters said.
His wife Robin Walters was busy at the coffee and hot chocolate
table.
"Last year we had over 300," she said. "Three other churches are here with us. They decided to get together and do this
tonight. We have such a good corral right here in front of the church, and
we have the restrooms open if they need to use them."

Joe Sanders from First Baptist Church and his wife
Lonie helped.
"The ministers got together and invited all
congregations to come, so we decided to participate this year, and we really
enjoy it," he said.
Bill Mainwaring with the Coshocton County
Gideon's was handing out Bibles and candy.
"This is my first time. We have
another one out at the Prairie Chapel where we will be handing out treats
and a Bible too,” he said.
