Coshocton County delays second-half tax bills
HB 186 changes pushed the 2025 second-half property tax deadline to Tuesday, Aug. 4, as officials update billing amounts
The production and mailing of second half tax bills for tax year 2025 has been delayed due to the implementation of HB 186 that incorporates an inflation cap credit to reduce property taxes on most residential parcels.
The Coshocton County Auditor's Office has received these factors from the Ohio Department of Taxation. They are currently in the hands of the property tax system software vendor who is working diligently to load these factors to determine the updated tax due and allow the treasurer's office to produce accurate second half tax bills. It then takes up to two weeks to complete the process of producing tax bills. As a result the second half due date has been pushed back to Tuesday, Aug. 4.
