River View boys soccer falls 2–0 in regional final
Black Bears close standout season with district title and deep postseason run after hard-fought loss to Wheelersburg.
The Wheelersburg Pirates scored once in each half to earn a 2-0 victory over the River View Black Bears in the Division IV regional boys soccer final Sunday, Nov. 2 at Logan High School.
The Black Bears made the trip to Logan determined and focused, leaving everything on the field in a hard-fought contest that showcased their heart, resilience and team unity. Despite the tough loss, River View’s effort never wavered as they pushed until the final whistle.
The setback closes the book on a remarkable season for the Black Bears — one defined by determination, teamwork and pride. River View’s postseason run included another district championship and a deep tournament push that will be remembered for years to come.
