Church 9:25 opens in Coshocton
Pastors Bryan and Karrie Casey aim to build a community-focused congregation with diverse groups and modern worship services
The first service was held Feb. 25 for the new Church 9:25, located at 28051 County Road 12 in Coshocton with Pastors Bryan and Karrie Casey.
Bryan Casey said planting a church was something he had thought about for years, but never very seriously.
“Every year we start the year by taking the first 21 days to fast and pray,” he said. “During the 21 days at the beginning of 2026, about halfway through, I began to feel a shift in my spirit that God was leading us to plant a church.”
He said he didn’t feel it would happen right away, but was something coming in the future.
“But during that time of prayer and fasting, the Lord really began speaking to me about stepping out and planting one,” Bryan Casey said.
He was driving one day, and as he passed a building, he felt the Lord say, “This is where it will start.”
“I thought that was amazing, but then I felt him say something else: ‘Call about the use of the building, and you will have favor,’” he said. “So we made the call, and everything fell into place.”
The Caseys say their main goal for the church is to reach people in the community and make true disciples, just as the Bible talks about.
“We want to build a church where people do life together, a place where it’s not just about showing up for a Sunday morning service or a mid-week event, but where people experience real life change through the presence of God,” Bryan Casey said.
Their hope is to build a church community where everyone is there for each other. “Not just people who attend church to be seen, but people who truly care about each other and walk through life together. Our heart is to help people build strong, solid foundations in Christ so they can grow in their faith and reach people around them,” he said.
The Caseys are hoping for a church where people from all walks of life come and encounter God. “And be part of a genuine Christ-centered community that is focused on discipleship and helping others,” Bryan Casey said.
Bryan Casey has hopes that as the church continues to grow, they can add new groups within the church.
“One of the first things we hope to add is a youth group and a young adult group. Beyond that, we are interested in creating groups that help people build friendships and community around shared interests,” he said.
Bryan Casey said they would love to see groups like a gun club, basketball group, pickleball group or other activity-based groups.
“The idea is simple. If people in the church enjoy something and it gives them a chance to spend time together and build relationships, we want to create a space for that to happen. Our goal is to build a church community where people can grow in their faith and also enjoy doing life together,” he said.
Services are Sundays at 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Both services include Crown Chasers Kids Church for children.
“Our worship is modern and Spirit-led, followed by Bible-based and Holy Ghost-directed preaching that focuses on preaching the truth of God’s word and allowing the Holy Spirit to move and work in people’s lives. If you are looking for a new church, we would like to personally invite you to join us,” Bryan Casey said.
