Smithville’s Pioneer Village to host festive Christmas celebration Dec. 6
Free family event features St. Nicholas visits, vintage displays, wagon rides and holiday treats
The Smithville Community Historical Society's annual Christmas in the Pioneer Village will take place Saturday, Dec. 6 from 3:30-7:30 p.m.
St. Nicholas and his assistants will greet kids. There will be a train display in the depot, an antique toy display in the caboose and vintage nativity scenes in the Church of God.
Salted Grounds Coffee Trailer will be in the village with coffee drinks, hot chocolate and cookies. The Mishler Weaving Mill and gift shop also will be open. Attendees can ride the vintage kid wagon, roast marshmallows over an open hearth and drink hot cider.
