The annual Knox County Lamb Banquet will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Community Church, 123 Columbus Road, Fredericktown.

Sponsored by the Knox County Sheep Association, the banquet has been a Knox County tradition for more than 75 years and celebrates the county’s strong sheep industry, one of the largest east of the Mississippi River.

This year’s featured speaker is Dusty Sonnenberg, Farm Director for Ohio’s Country Journal and Ohio Ag Net. Sonnenberg is a farmer and agricultural broadcaster who will share updates and insights from Ohio agriculture.

The program will also include the election of directors and a live auction benefiting the association’s scholarship fund. The scholarship supports a graduating senior who exhibits sheep in 4-H or FFA or is involved in commercial sheep production pursuing higher education.

Reservations for the dinner can be made to Dennis Shinaberry at 740-501-6058.
