Centerburg boys fall to rival Fredericktown

Trojans fall 61-43 after tough second quarter on Feb. 6.

The Centerburg boys' basketball team struggled in the second quarter en route to a 61-43 loss to Fredericktown on Feb. 6.

The Trojans trailed just 16-12 after one quarter, but were outscored 28-2 in the second in the defeat.

Steffan Sands led the Trojans with 21 points, four rebounds, three steals, two blocks and two assists. Brody Cole added 12 points and three blocks, while Hayden Love had four points and four rebounds, and Drew Trout had four points.

Girls’ wrestling

Centerburg’s Emma Fisher participated in the Maysville Panthers Girls’ Invitational on Feb. 8.

The 135-pound junior was defeated in her four matches on the day.
