Zoar resident inducted

The Canton chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at the Martinsdale Christian Church in Canton. Four new members were inducted into the chapter: Gail Garbrandt of Zoar, Jeanne Hamad, Emily Beaumont and Renee Rojas of Canton.

The Daughters of the American Revolution is a nonprofit, nonpolitical volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education and patriotism.

Garbrandt is the daughter of the late Floyd Grewell and Mary Grewell. She serves as director of elections for Tuscarawas County and is a trustee and officer in the Zoar Community Association.
