Winter Wonderland is coming soon to Walnut Hills

Walnut Hills Retirement Community invites area families to create special memories together by enjoying Winter Wonderland.
This year is the second year for Winter Wonderland, a drive-through holiday light display that takes visitors around the scenic Walnut Hills campus in Walnut Creek.
Winter Wonderland will be available for visitors to enjoy starting Dec. 12 through Jan. 1, from 5:30-10 p.m. each evening.
The event is free and is a gift to the community from Walnut Hills and several sponsors.
“We are excited to offer an even bigger holiday light display this year,” said Jodi Dean, director of marketing. “The Walnut Hills campus is so beautiful, and this year’s light displays cover even more of the campus. We look forward to showcasing our campus and brightening the lives of everyone who visits Winter Wonderland.”
This year’s Winter Wonderland drive-through starts at the Assisted Living building (4770 Olde Pump St.). The route will travel around the Nursing Home before meandering through The Meadows, one of the Walnut Hills Independent Living communities. Yard signs will direct visitors along the route.
Several businesses, organizations and sponsors have come together to create the Winter Wonderland twinkling light displays for families.
“Walnut Hills is hosting the event, but it is truly a community event,” Dean said. “We are very thankful for the businesses and organizations who are partnering with us to make the Winter Wonderland light displays come to life.”
Light displays are being created by the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce, Garaway High School, Coblentz Chocolates, Kimble Companies, HTS Therapy and Walnut Hills.
Other sponsors for the event include Commercial and Savings Bank, Carlisle Inn, Carlisle Gifts, Der Dutchman Restaurant, Hummel Insurance, Mast Farm Service, Gessner Reining Horses, Premier Pharmacy, Pomerene Hospital and Jason Stein.
