WH Board of Education holds Nov. meeting

The West Holmes Local Schools Board of Education met Monday, Nov. 20 at Lakeville Elementary for a regular meeting.

The board did the following during the meeting:

—Approved the updates of 20 board policies.

—Approved the hiring of Kaylee Evans, teacher aide, effective Dec. 4.

—Approved the resignation of Dezirae Wilcox, cook, effective Oct. 23.

—Approved the retirement of Cheryl Kays, cook, effective Dec. 20.

—Approved Elaine Baker as a substitute for four positions, effective Oct. 26.

—Approved $500 stipends for 53 staff members for the completion of LETRS training prior to Aug. 31, 2024.

Other information

Lakeville Elementary Principal Brian Zimmerly recognized Briella House for a perfect score in fourth-grade math state testing and Tyler Steinbauer and Vivianne Bright for finishing third in the HCSWD essay contest.

The next board meeting is scheduled for Dec. 18 at Millersburg Elementary.
