Wendy’s sponsors 12th annual Chili Open Golf Classic

Get out your long johns and ear muffs and travel to the Green Valley Golf Course in New Philadelphia on Saturday, Feb. 4 for a day of golf, prizes and delicious Wendy’s chili. The event, Trumpet In The Land’s 12th annual Chili Open Golf Classic, is sponsored by Wendy’s of Tuscarawas County.Golfers will play nine holes on a modified course and compete for lowest score of the day. Lowest score winner will receive $50 in addition to several other gifts. All other golfers will receive a special registration gift and hot Wendy’s chili. A 50/50 drawing will also be held. “Last year golfers had to contend with sleet and rain so we’re hoping this year’s milder winter will provide a drier course for golfers,” stated Joe Bonamico, Trumpet marketing manager. “The uniqueness of the event adds to the fun. We have golfers that return year after year just for the challenge of beating the elements.”Advance tee times are recommended but not required, and an entry fee will be charged. For tee time or more information, call the Trumpet office at 330-364-5111. Tee times begin at 9:30 a.m.
