Reports to council
Mayor Tom Gardner reported he and patrolman Tom Casimir had surveyed the village for junk vehicles and determined where cleanup notices will be issued by Casimir. Casimir will continue issuing notices as needed.
Street Supervisor Rick Swiger reported continuing issues with blacktop cracking on the east end of Canal Street and in other locations. He said some of the damage was caused by a gas line being dug up, which has now settled. Swiger will add sealing product to the blacktop in an attempt to prevent further problems.
Swiger requested funds to purchase a variety of hand tools and a toolbox for the street department, which council approved.
