The popular Holidays at the Mansion will return with a fresh new look and theme. Beginning Nov. 18, daily self-guided tours through the 28-room Victorian House Museum will be offered Sunday through Thursday from 1-4 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 1-8 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults and $9 for seniors age 60 and over. Student tickets are $5 for those age 12-18, and children under 12 are free.

Each year the house is transformed by area businesses, organizations and individuals into a Victorian holiday event. This year’s theme is an “Old Fashioned Christmas.” Keeping within this theme, each room will take on a look based on the decorator’s creative concept.

The season will launch with a special grand opening on Nov. 18 from 6-9 p.m., complete with a visit from an old-world Santa. Period dancers provided by the Holmes County Center for the Arts also will perform all evening in the ballroom.

The mansion is one of the finest examples of Queen architecture in the area. The 28-room, four-floor home is owned by the Holmes County Historical Society. The house was built by a wealthy industrialist from Cleveland in 1900.

Designed by a Cleveland architect, the house is on the National Historic Registry, has been on HGTV and was used for the Hollywood movie, "Love Finds You in Valentine."
