Two local soccer players garner All-Ohio accolades

The Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association released the All-Ohio boys and girls soccer teams, and two area players were named to the teams.
On the girls side, West Holmes senior Allie McMillen earned first-team honors in Division II. McMillen finished the season with 40 goals and 17 assists, ending her high school career as one of Ohio’s top all-time goal scorers. With McMillen leading the way, West Holmes advanced to state for the first time in program history.
On the boys side, Hiland’s Zach Gingerich was a first-team selection in Div. III. Gingerich ended the season with 13 goals and 13 assists, despite missing significant time with an injury, helping the Hawks advance to the regional semifinals.
